It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.〔 It is the terminus of lines S3, S4 and S33 of the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn and the terminus of lines S51 and S52 of the Karlsruhe Stadtbahn. The station lies on the Schifferstadt–Wörth line and the Bruhrain Railway to Graben-Neudorf and Bruchsal. Until 1984 it was the terminus of the Lower Queich Valley Railway from Landau.
